It's easy to feel lost. It's not a thought that you warmly welcome or a feeling you earnestly invite. But someway, somehow, it's there.
There's a pressure that is applied to make you feel like you must have it all together. To know who you want to be and what you want to do. When the weight of those questions lands on you, it puts you in a daze of doubt and fear. Oftentimes, you will look down the road you are meant to travel but stand frozen, filled with dread before taking a step because every decision matters.
Suddenly, you lose hope in things you once found confidence in. For a girl that's used to having it all together, it's new territory. It's difficult to accept that you don't know it all and that you're struggling.
Here's the pearl in the sand... you are not alone. This worry of the soul or hurting of the heart is not a feeling that you alone bear. This is why I am writing to you, girl who's lost her way, because it feels like a scary road that you have to walk alone until you open your eyes, look around and see hundreds even thousands of girls who have lost their way. All of them feeling every ounce of fear and loss of hope that you have. But you need to open your eyes. Once you do that, it doesn't seem so daunting. Once you do that, you will find the strength to take a step. Once you do that, you will no longer be the girl who has lost her way. You'll be the girl who looks at the future and laughs with courage.
