The answer to this question is not as straightforward as I thought it would be. I had the idea to create a blog ever since I was going into my teenage years. An idea that never came to fruition.. until now. Here I am, twenty-two years old, finally actualizing my aspiration.
If you ask someone, "What is Bianca's true passion?", I am sure you would get different responses even from those who know me best. But let's set the record straight. My true passion is writing. It has been since the fourth grade. I believe that writing always came naturally to me, however in the past couple of years I have not expanded on that talent. Mostly because of the lack of time, but also a sense of discouragement. I've written poems, short stories, and novels that I have never shared. Nevertheless, it came as no surprise to me that I wanted to start my own blog.
A quote from Earnest Hemingway that I have held on to since I was in fifth grade is that "the writer must write what he has to say, not speak it". That's the purpose of this blog, for me to write what I have to say. I find that I express myself better through written word and hope that me bearing my soul on this blog will give you a glimpse into who I am.
The title of this blog is Your Everyday. Well, what does that even mean? I guess it is this. Your Everyday is one who is undeniably real, unmistakably honest and undoubtedly herself. Your Everyday is someone who never goes out of style and is always in season. Your Everyday isn't a girl who puts an emphasis on her popularity but only seeks to be true. I only seek to be who the one true God has made me to be.
For anyone who struggles with the idea of putting themselves out there or revealing their true self to the world through artistic expression, I challenge you to do it. I did it and so can you.
Love,
Your Everyday
